Ritilä asetetaan upotetun reunuksen päälle, mikä varmistaa tarkan istuvuuden. Kehys on pakollinen, ja sillä on kaksi tehtävää: se tukee ritilää ja helpottaa laatoituksen tyylikästä viimeistelyä.
